Wishcasting & Photo Wednesday

Hello all...I'm on my last remaining 6 days of my 30 day visit to my hometown of St. Louis. Although the first 2 weeks were quite cocoon-y and snuggly, as we dealt with my son's injury and I got reaquainted with my 2 and a half year old grandson (after a 4 month separation), I am now caught up in that typical last minute rush to see everyone I haven't gotten to yet and go to the places which are always on my list when I am here. I am so thankful and happy to have been able to be here so long and enjoy everyones company, and know it will be hard to leave everyone and be apart again until my next visit in June. St. Louis will always be home to me in some ways, but I am starting to feel very ready to return to "normal life" at home sweet home with my husband and our furbabies, my own bed, my art, our routines and comforts and the beautiful Pacific Northwest I have come to adore over the past almost 4 years of living there.
This weeks 52Photos Project  prompt is very relevant to how I am feeling right now:

"THIS IS MY HOME"

I love to look out our front door and see this lovely sight.
Our yard is one of my most sacred sanctuaries,
and I am grateful everyday for the abundance
of natural beauty which surrounds us.

Today is also  Wishcasting Wednesday, and today Jamie asks:

"WHAT IS YOUR SPIRIT WISHING FOR?"
This question is also easily answered right now, as I feel that my spirit is wishing for my normal life, my routines, my personal space, my husband, my doggies, my art, my yard, my music, my food, my bed, my shower, my home, my everything that I have been away from for almost a month.
(but ask me this same question this time next week, and my answer is likely to be my children & grandson! haha!)

Have a lovely rest-of-your-week!

Happy Me-Laurie Z!

  5. AS you wish for yourself, I wish for you also. I can understand the yearning for home. As nice as it is to get away, especially when we are seeing people who we love, it's always great to get home again. Have a safe trip.
