Monday Make-It: Just Beachy!

Dare I say it...but it is almost like summer has arrived in Seattle about 2 months early! It's been perfectly gorgeous sunshiney weather for days & days in a row, which brings out hopeful optimism in all of us drowning in rain sunshine lovers that maybe, just maybe, this will be the year of the 3 month summner, instead of the typical 6 week summers we have had for the past few years! (which unfortunately also included several 95+ degree days!). Anyway, this recent saturation of vitamin D has caused me to be drawn to the beach like a bee to honey! I have been lucky enough to get to the waters edge 5 times over the past 10 days, and I don't think I have to tell you how heavenly that is for me!
All of this blue water and sky, beach treasure collecting, and soft sand lounging has inspired me to bring some of the beauty of the beach into our home.
I've had these in my "create" file for months now...and I know that I have more than enough beach glass to do all of them, so I think it's time to try to do just that this week! (well, at least a few of them!)
this would look great iin our sea foam green family room!

this is gorgeous but I'm not sure i could pull it off...!

oh. so. pretty.

wow...just WOW!

<>
yes, i think i could do THIS!

so pretty for a warm summer day ponytail!

Does anyone else collect sea glass? I'd love to know about any creations you've made using your beachy treasures!

Happy Me-Laurie Z!

  1. Your visits to the beach sound wonderful! I love the beach - it nourishes me in so many ways, and it's a place where I truly feel "home" - but the closest is a 7-hour drive. I don't have any beach glass but I have lots and lots of shells! Have fun creating something with the lovely beach glass!

wow these are cool ideas. I love mosaic but never came to the idea to use beach glass. Okay- I really don´t live near a beach :) But anyway. I love the idea!
