Wishcasting Wednesday:

Happy Wednesday! Time to make some wishes! Today Jamie asks us...
"HOW DO YOU WISH TO
GROW?"

when I hear the word "grow",
I think of blooming, opening, shining, stretching, reaching, becoming!

The key to success is to keep growing in all areas of life -
mental, emotional, spiritual, as well as physical. Julius Erving
I very much believe and aspire to this quote.
(I am not one to use the word "success" all that much,
so I would replace it with "happiness" or maybe "contentment")

I remember having intense, exhausting pains in my legs
when I was a little girl.
My mom and dad would rub and massage my skinny stick legs
as I moaned and writhed in discomfort.
The doctor proclaimed (dismissed) them "growing pains".

I eventually grew into my long legs, and the pain ceased.
It makes me think that until you are able to "grow into" yourself,
who you long to be,
who you are meant to be,
who you really are deep inside,
there will be bouts of pain.
But when you do,
when you accept and open up and allow yourself to do the
(sometimes painful) work ofgrowing into your true self,
 your authentic and innate self,
your best self,
you will experience
"success" (happiness).

There are so many ways in which I wish to grow...
Mental: in tune with the ebb & flow of life.
Emotional: less defensive of my self-percieved shortcomings.
Spiritual: deeper into daily life as a spiritual pracitce in and of itself.
Physical: more accepting of and delighted in my changing (ie: aging!) body.

I wish to grow into
my true
authentic
innate
and best
self.

When I am able to free myself
from fear,
and the past,
and limiting beliefs,
I can feel that growth happening more and more...
bringing me closer and closer
to
myself.
To my
Happy Me-Laurie Z! self :)
