Release & My Hearts Wish

Good Wednesday morning everyone! Not really all that "good" here since I have a dentist appt. in about an hour and over the past few weeks, I have managed to lose not one but TWO crowns...and when I say lose, I mean like lost forever for one of them...! It popped off (for the 3rd time!) while I was on my trip to St. Louis, and although I put it into a ziploc bag and in a "special safe place" in "my room" at my daughters house...it somehow never made it back home with me! Well, at least I didn't swallow it! The other one was sort of an experimental last diutch effort to keep from having to pull the tooth, which I think now will be my only option. *sigh* I take all the blame, however, as I reap the punishment of not caring properly for my teeth throughout most of my life.
ANYway... onto todays photo and wishing shares!

For Gallery 10 at 52 Photos Project, the theme is
RELEASE
What do you do to lighten up?
How do you let go of the stressors of your day?
Open the wine? Turn up the tunes?
Get it down on the yoga mat?
Start a new book? Bubble-bath? Run-bike-hike-walk?
I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order.

There are many things I turn to to calm me down when I am stressed to help me lighten up. I read, or snuggle with my dogs or hubby (if he is not the one stressing me out, lol!),
I listen to music or I just disappear into myself and maybe even to my bed for awhile to wallow in my unhappiness. Or I rant and rave (again, usually to my husband or a "lucky" friend!), or I try to clear my head through a creative outlet like painting or collage or creating a piece of assemblage jewelry. But more often than not, the thing that works best for me in releasing stress, gaining perspective and grounding me once again is to just get out into nature. I am so blessed that our home sits surrounded by an acre of woods and our side yard has a small waterfall garden pond and literally hunbdreds of different flora and fauna, so to "get out in nature" requires just a few steps out the front door for me. When I am able to immerse myself in the simple yet complex daily happenings and divine design of nature, I am quickly able to understand that whatever has me stressed out is merely a teeny tiny moment in time, and remember that all is well and as it should be, and it is undoubtly and completley true, that
this too,
shall pass.
Nature is man's teacher.  She unfolds her treasures to his search, unseals his eye, illumes his mind, and purifies his heart; an influence breathes from all the sights and sounds of her existence.  ~Alfred Billings Street

And today for Wishcasting Wednesday, Jamie asks us:

WHAT IS YOUR HEARTS WISH?

My hearts wish is a big one, yet also simple. I wish for my life to continue to be as profoundly good, blessed, charmed, abundant and full of love, laughter, satisfaction, security, connection and contentment
as it is right now.
And since I am wishing big, I want the same blessings
for my beloved immediate family and dear friends too.

For everything I (we) have,
and hopefully will continue to have,
along with this big wish,
I say an endless
"thank you".

 Happy Me-Laurie Z!
