Gift & Create

Gallery 16 of  the 52 Photos Project:
"GIFT"
"A thing given willingly without payment"

For this weeks Wishcasting, Jamie ask us:
"WHAT DO YOU WISH TO CREATE?"

The ability, desire and need to create frequently consumes my thoughts and actions.
A current personal struggle is the feeling that I am not creating,
 that I cannot create
and that my creating,
well,
sucks.
My mind & imagination are in overdrive;
my hands remain useless and occasionally,
flipping the bird.
I wish to create.
Yes, I most definitely do.
Perhaps I should begin by creating
self-permission and acceptance
to not live up to my own
(possibly unreachable)
standards and expectations.

Have a week filled with gifts and creativity!
Happy Me-Laurie Z!

  1. Why is it that giving ourselves permission is so hard? That is big for me, too. As you wish for yourself, I wish for you, too!!

  6. Giving permission is indeed a hard thing to master... As you wish for yourself, so do I wish as well.

  8. Beautiful photo! Maybe the gift you're being given is one of pause and reflection before diving back into creating? Wishing you peace.

  9. As you wish for yourself, I wish for you also!
The permission to mess up is necessary to allow the vulnerable inner child to come out and play. When she is supported, empowered, loved and accepted, no matter what, she can create wonders, she can release her inner genius, she can be all you want her to be.
But if she's afraid of disappointing you, afraid of criticism, afraid to be vulnerable, she can't.
When I was trying to be more creative, it helped when I realised this - when I look after my inner child, she creates. When I don't, she doesn't. So my job is to take care of her! xx
