Winter Wish & Roads I Travel

Wednesday again.
5 days since the heartbreaking tragedy which has touched and hurt and raged us all.
5 days until the celebration of a holy birth.
(aren't all births holy?)
2 days until the Winter Solstice.

Days past. Days future.
The present.

This time of year is already an introspective, reflective, solitude seeking, quiet making time for me.
I don't want or "do" all of the hype and rush and stress and expectations and should's and supposed to's
and have to's.
And especially this year. This day.
This 5 days since...

I just want to

Be. Still.

To seek and search and grasp and hold and believe.
And remember.

This world is so full.
Full of everything anyone could ever want or need.
And much that we cannot comprehend or  imagine.
Good and bad.
More and less.
Happy and sad.
Joy and pain.
Light and dark.


Truly, it is in darkness that one finds the light, so when we are in sorrow, then this light is nearest of all to us.

be.

We are sharing images of "Roads I Travel" at 52 Photos Project this week.

I'm not even sure I can explain why this is the photo I chose to represent this weeks prompt.
It's (obviously) not a "road" but for some reasoin it just appealed to me and made me think of traveling (because i like to spend as much time as possible walking beaches I suppose!) and the lines in the sand from the ebb and flow of the tides just feel like the way we travel through life...

I know I have been a bit all over the place in this post.
It feels rough and loose and abstract.
It feels like I feel right now.
