I have been HAPPILY holed up in my (garage) studio for many hours this past week, amazed at the creative energy and "zone" I have been experiencing lately! I am working on some collage pieces, and hope to have several ready to submit for the (juried) Northwest Collage Society's annual exhibit this fall. (*nervous! / *ecited!) I am also contemplating starting a new blog just for my art creations...all inclusive for my many varied expressions such as photography, collage, encaustic, mixed-media, jewelry, found art, assemblage, etc. I just feel like I am more ready to share and get my "stuff" out there than I have been doing as of yet, but have no idea about how to go about procuring an actual website, so this would be a start, above and beyond my Facebook pages for photography and other creations. I REEEEALLLLY need to get my etsy shop open too...as I have been saying for like, oh, about four years now!!!
(sorry, I guess I am kinda thinking out loud here!)

Anyway, in a few hours, we are expecting the arrival of out-of-state company for the next 2 days, so I really should be vacuuming right now! But I wanted to share my usual Wednesday offering of Wishcasting...
Today Jamie asks us:
WHAT DREAM DO YOU WISH TO COME TRUE?
So...in this circle of wishcasters, we are able to share links to our blog posts in which we respond to this week's wish question...and today before writing this post, I perused the few other wishers who had provided their blog links...and I was stunned to find that Anita at Prairie Dreams absolutely summed up in her answer exactly what I was thinking as my response to this question! She wrote:
"I love photography, art, writing, and I feel these are gifts I'm meant to share, I'm still not sure how, or what to do with them. My dream would be that I find what I was meant to do with them. I'm 46 (*53!) years old, shouldn't I know this by now??"
Oh dear Anita...I could not have said it any better! This, too, is a dream that I have long wished could come true for me as well! Thank you for making me feel less "alone" and "odd" in this "not-knowing" stuff. Meanwhile, I will just continue to remember this...
Last night was a full ("blue"!) moon...which means it was time again to create my monthly Full Moon Dreamboard with Jamie & friends!
This month, the Full Sturgeon Moon invites us to contemplate:
“What is your intuition telling you about your dreams?”

Thanks for reading (& special thanks to Anita!) Wishing you all a wonderful rest of your week!
Happy Me-Laurie Z!
Lovely to read that you are feeling confident in sharing your art. As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you also!

ReplyDeleteI am feeling the same way, wanting to get my stuff out there! Your collage - and your full moon dreamboard - are lovely! (I posted mine together too! ^-^) As you wish for yourself, so do I wish for you as well.

ReplyDeleteMay all those wonderful dreams be fulfilled! Love your collage and dreamboard!
ReplyDeleteAs you wish for yourself, I wish for you also. And a little tip: Baby step it. Choose something to do (etsy, website) and just take a teeny tiny baby step every day. Before you know it, done! x
