Friday Free-for-All: Free Time!

(Yeah, notice how I got right on that changing of the Friday post theme name thingie I mentioned wanting to do in last Fridays post)

I cannot believe that it is Friday already. Not like the days of the week normally hold any special or specific significance for me like they do for most people. I don't really "T.G.I.F", or say things like "C'mon Friday!" or "I wish it were Friday"...you know? It's kinda like every day is Friday to me. Or maybe it is Wednesday. Or Sunday. I dunno, nor do I usually care. (lucky me, I know) OH-except when it is Sunday and I need to know and care because I want to watch my two fave shows on tv, then I need to know and I care. Otherwise, the days all just seem to blend into one another anyway...but I do often wonder what it would be like if we did NOT have designated days or even time, to mark our life. How strange would that be? Of course in this modern life we are all living, I am sure that it would be quite confusion inducing and bascially impossible to function without those constraints. But I wonder what it was like way back when...when days and nights and weeks andmonths just flowed form one to the next without the need to "name" them or put a certain significance to each one. Yeah, that was a VERY long time ago, I know. Still, it is interesting to mull.
huh.
I guess I should just go ahead and keep the name "Friday Free-fo-All", because, obviously, my mind has no trouble wandering into what definitely feels like a free-for-all to me!
ANYway...today I just want to share a few things I came across this week...

*How awesome does THIS look?

The participant spots here are already sold out but we are going to go and watch and cheer and laugh, because it is on Mothers Day and I am a mom so I get to do whatever I want to do on that day 'cause it is MY day and THAT is what I want to do! (yay!) I fully expect and hope to come home covered in color, preferably pinks & purples!

* If any of my lovely kind generous readers who are on Facebook could take a few seconds to do this for me I would be so very grateful to you!

A little over 2 years ago, we adopted our two sweet & beautiful Basset Hound girls from Washington Basset Rescue in Spokane, WA. They were rescued from puppy mills in the Midwest and transported to WABR, which is a Basset Hound shelter run by one amazing woman, Pat, out of her home. She cares for an average of 13-20 bassets at any given time. She is truly a selfless person who has dedicated most of her life to the welfare of animals, and all on her own since her husband passed 14 years ago. Thank you for caring & takeing a few seconds to possibly help her & the hounds she cares so much about.. ~xo~
To help, please go here, "like" the page and comment "WASHINGTON BASSET RESCUE".
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

*LOOKEY WHAT WE GOT IN THE MAIL THIS WEEK!
(well, it might have come last week or maybe even the week before-I mean you just read my whole free-for-all ramble about my perception of days and time and all that- but anyway I am just remembering to squee to you about it now)
IT'S OFFICIAL and LEGAL and EVERYTHING!

(and yes, there IS a "story" about why I took a close-up of the "brides declared surname" portion of our marriage license which I am not going to talk about because it makes me kinda not happy with myself,
but, as we see, all turned out as it should. so yay.)

*I am so excited and honored to once again to have several of my photographs featured in the latest issue of SPIRIT VOYAGES, published by the lovely and sweet-souled Lori-Lyn Hurley. I would be so happy and grateful if you would consider gifting yourself-or someone you care about- with this inspiring collection of heartfelt words and images.
the cover photo is mine and yes, that IS my beautiful heart daughter Janelle!

And this just made me happy so I'm sharing it with you. It's a free-for-all, remember?

H.A.F.F!
(have a fabulous Friday!)
Happy Me-Laurie Z!
