Wishcasting Wednesday-"Go"

Today for Wishcasting Wednesday, Jamie asks us

"WHERE DO YOU WISH TO GO?"

Well, I have to admit, my first thought upon pondering this prompt

was to craft an answer involving something deep and introspective,

such as

"I wish to

GO with the flow...

GO within...

GO where my heart leads me...

GO above and beyond..."

Somehow, although those are all worthy and valid places to want to GO,

I kept hearing this insistent little voice growing louder

in my head and heart

about where I really, Really, REALLY

want to GO...

This voice started making itself known and heard to me some years ago,

but I basically brushed it off,

ignored it,

even laughed at the preposterousness of it.

Regarded it as a mere dream,

a fantasy,

not even a "maybe someday",

but rather an "if only"

or a "in my next life"

It was not just an inprobability

but an impossibility.

But lately, that voice is growing louder,

more frequent

more demanding

more insistant

more urgent

more serious

And there are "signs" now too

Things that keep crossing my path

Coming into my reality

Being discovered and shared with me

Little hints that the Universe is listening

It knows my dreams and desires

It knows my heart

It not only knows what I want

But believes it possible

And in fact, WANTS me to have what I desire

To live my dreams

To make my wishes come true

To GO where I long to GO

If only I were to believe it as well

So here is my public declaration

My wish cast to the Universe

I WISH TO GO

TO

PARIS!

Yes, to PARIS, FRANCE!!!!!!!!!!

To swoon at the Eiffel Tower, to hug a gargoyle at Notre Dame,

to lose my mind (and likely all my francs!) at Marché aux Puces St-Ouen de Clignancourt

(Paris' most famous flea market-a collection of 2,500-3,000 open air stalls & shops...OMG!OMG!OMG!),

to sip (probably not-great!) coffee at Cafe de Flora, to savor fine wine at Legrand Filles et Fils...

and to just do & do & do!

& go & go & go!

& explore & explore & explore!

& marvel & marvel & marvel!

& see & see & see!

& shop & shop & shop!

and wear sweet little dresses and eat bon bons and aquire an accent

and take a jillion and six photographs...

and just soak in the grand romanticism that is

~"Gay Paree"~

This wish, when it hit me, rather slowly, but surely, some years ago,

kind of took me by surprise...

I have always said that I am completely satisfied and content

with close-to-home exploration

I can find adventure and sights worth seeing

 on a walk down the street,

or a drive to the next county,

or in the ocean town in Florida which has been my second home since I was a young child

 and I have visited dozens of times already.

I never felt the need to travel abroad, or to exotic locale or to see the seven wonders of the world.

I already had a list a mile long of places in these United States which intrigued and beckoned me.

But that secret little wish

that little "if only"

that growing louder voice,

whispering in my heart...

"Paris"...

"Paris"...

"Paris"...

can no longer be ignored.

And I don't intend to ignore it any longer.

I wish

I INTEND

TO GO

TO

PARIS!
