Illuminate & Dare

Hello all...

Short 'N sweet today, as I have put off preparing for tomorrows art walk exhibit of my photographs until the last minute...so guess what is filling my agenda for today?!

This week at 52 Photos Project
 ILLUMINATE

Light from an electronic device
can create a dramatic photo.
Most of us own at least one electronic gadget!
Practice this illumination technique and
share what you capture here on Wednesday.
Alternate light sources: candle light,
low lamp light, fireplace, or string lights.
(Thank you, Madame G for this week's photo prompt.
You can see all of her photography by visiting her flickr page.)

I went with the candlelight version...kinda grainy but I like the ethereal quality!

And for this weeks
Wishcasting Wednesday, Jamie asks:
"WHAT DO YOU WISH TO DARE? OR DARE TO WISH?"
Oh my goodness, this one is rather stumping me!
Hmmm...wish to dare...oh yes, I know exactly what I want to wish!
I wish to dare everyone to just please
S---L---O---W      D---O---W---N
relax and enjoy and embrace this impending holiday season
as it comes
day by day
moment by moment
with peace and gratefulness and joy and humbleness of heart
To remember what it is we are (supposed to be) celebrating
Family, friends, abundance, blessings,hope, memories,
love
It is not about shopping
or spending
or stressing
or expectations
or have to's
or should's
or gluttony
or greed
or rushing
or exhaustion
(and you do not even want to get me going on the concept of Black Friday,
much less some retailers now starting
the propaganda and pressure to buy Buy BUY at
EIGHT P.M ON THANKSGIVING EVENING!
(NO PIE FOR YOU!)
I dare you, yes, YOU
and everyone else out there
to not play the game
not bow to pressure
not buy into the hype
not make the holidays of gratefulness and love
about everything BUT.

This is what I wish to dare...

Have a wonderful rest-of-your-week!
Happy Me-Laurie Z!
